WEBER Grand Potpourri in D for cello and orchestra


Carl Maria Friedrich Ernst von Weber (18 or 19 November 1786 – 5 June 1826) was a German composer, conductor, pianist, guitarist and critic, one of the first significant composers of the Romantic school. Weber was already suffering from tuberculosis when he visited London in 1826. He died of the disease whilst at the house of Sir George Smart during the night of 4/5 June 1826. Weber was 39 years old.
Weber's Grand Potpourri for Cello and Orchestra in D major, Op. 20, J. 64 was composed in 1808.
