Sinfonia India by Carlos Chavez

The 'Sinfonia India' by Carlos Chavez is the Mexican composer's tribute to the Mexican indian tribes (Huichol, Seri and Yaqui). Taken from some of their melodies. It is his second symphony and his most popular. Carlos Antonio de Padua Chávez y Ramírez was born on 13 June 1899 and he died 2 August 1978. Also a conductor, music theorist, educator, journalist, and founder and director of the Mexican Symphonic Orchestra. Most of his work was influenced by native Mexican cultures.
